Bathroom Tile Installation Tips
By no means is this a full installation guide. However from experience from experts, I have gathered a list of tips and precautions that must be known. Just remembering these tips before jumping into a huge project can literally save you hundreds of dollars if not thousands.

• Every type of floor can support installation of floor tiles. The bathroom floor is the highest water flow base. A lot of times water damage happens on bathroom. Water is a regular part of every bathroom. Cracked tiles or bad installation is the main cause of the water damage. To protect your bathroom from water damage, you should use cement board underlayment for your floor.
• Then, you take note of the colors and patterns. Figure out which colors will match and make your bathroom look better than it really is. It all depends on the layout and size of your bathroom.
• Before bathroom floor installation, you need to manage and make sure the equipment of the toilet has been installed. You have to decide about the toilet size and fittings that you want in your bathroom before the tile installation process.
• The bathroom is usually the smallest room in the house. That’s why you have to cut tiles or buy smaller tiles. To cut the tiles you can use a small tile saw and a tile cutter board which you will find in any market and these tools are not very expensive. Even tile cutting is not as hard as it sounds. Just be careful about the size of tile that you need.
• Tile grouts are not water resistant! Regular grouts absorb and pass water steadily. You must completely seal the tile grout. Epoxy grouts are widely available and much better compared to tile grout. During bathroom tile installation you can choose epoxy grout to solve any leaking problems you may have. However, epoxy is highly toxic and very harmful for your health. Make sure to use a good mask to filter the toxins from entering your body.
• Underneath your tiles, a cement board is the best solution for stability and durability needs. But a cement board fasten is tough over the concrete or irregular surface. It needs sound surface for fastening. Poor foundation problem can be solved by the cement board. It is very important to have a good foundation for bathroom tile installation. A cement board will almost guarantee a better installation.
